PRODUCTIVITY- The relationship with Cbeyond has allowed us to serve three different locations with one provider. They have also worked with us to make sure that shows up in our billing, so I can go online and look at the actual bills that are being applied. For each of the locations, I can make sure the minutes are staying within range. The flexibility of the virtual receptionist allows me to customize messages for our whole organization or for each of our schools. The virtual receptionist allows me to get important info out to our school community in a timely fashion. I don’t have to be in any particular location to make a change to the virtual receptionist. I can be at a conference and know that I need to make a change or announcement to a school and I know I can do that by going online and entering that info. It is extremely effective and comforting to know. Well, the thing for us that was attractive when we first started talking with the Cbeyond sales people was the desirability of having our various mobile phones and our land line products all working with the same operation. The ability to use the BlackBerry means that I can get my email wherever I am, same thing for other managers. We can constantly communicate about things that are going on, meetings that get changed, something going on with a student; you know things that have to be addressed. Doesn’t mean it has to be addressed that moment, but I think it just helps with our efficiencies that way, at a management level. In terms of the rest of our mobile phones, many of those are assigned to our vans so that we bring students from different communities. As with any good mobile device, it allows us to be in touch with drivers picking up students, things that might happen in a van, confusions that exist, families that might have a challenge getting a student out. So, for us, the mobile platform is essential to our operation.
PROFITABILITY- The thing that has been useful for us with the online management of our bills is that on a monthly basis I get an alert that our bills are in and I can look at how we are spending our money. That has been very helpful with we got a program that operates across three different sites and with 12-15 mobile phones operating as well. Our task is to keep track of our funds as best we can and this really provides a way that I can do that. As a nonprofit organization, we are judged by what we do with our students. We have to make sure that every dollar and every quarter is spent on educational supplies and teacher salaries. We cannot afford to be spending money inappropriately and ineffectively, so we need all of our service providers to be as careful as we are with our costs and that is one of the attractive features that we have seen with Cbeyond.
