General Considerations in Transitioning Your Cbeyond Service

  • You have a service contract with Cbeyond. If you cancel service prior to the end of your service period, contract termination charges will apply.
  • If you cancel service prior to the end of your service period and you were given an install fee waiver or a promotion, the install fee waiver and the promotion credit(s) will be reversed and charged back to your account.
  • According to the terms of your contract, you must provide Cbeyond with a 30 day written cancellation notification to give Cbeyond the authority to terminate your services.
  • Please understand, any numbers requested to be disconnected on your carriers order will automatically revert back to the originating carrier on the account disconnection date and you will loose the right to your existing numbers.
  • It is your responsibility to make arrangements for and set-up your services with new providers. Cbeyond is not responsible for your services after the Switch date. As Cbeyond sells voice and Internet services as an integrated, bundled package, we cannot continue to provide any partial services after the Switch date for reduced costs.

We have provided a checklist below to help you transition your services.

  • If you are transferring numbers to another carrier - your new local service provider will request a Switch date from Cbeyond. On this date, your new provider is responsible for providing service for your current phone numbers, and all other services currently provided by Cbeyond.
  • If you are not transferring numbers to another carrier - your account will be disconnected 30 days from receipt date of your letter of intent to disconnect from Cbeyond. On this date, all services currently being provided by Cbeyond will be terminated. If for any reason you need the account to remain open past the disconnection date, the request must be made in writing at least 48 hours prior to the disconnection date, and all normal monthly charges will continue.
  • You must allow Cbeyond to pick-up our equipment (after the end bill date) or you will be billed for the equipment. Cbeyond will make one visit to your location to pick-up the equipment. If additional visits or other efforts are required to retrieve the equipment, you will be billed for the charges associated with these efforts. Caution: Upon disconnect, a technician will remove all wiring, 66 block(s), and equipment that was installed by Cbeyond in order to provide service. Please insure that your new provider does NOT re-use any of our equipment or wiring, including the 66block/demarcation point.
