With Secure VPN Remote user, you can access your office network remotely. Now you and your employees can be productive when away from the office. You can forget about making that extra trip to the office to grab an electronic file – just access it remotely over your Secure VPN.

Secure VPN On-Net

If not every location of your business is served by Cbeyond, you can still stay connected with Secure VPN Off-Net. Now you can exchange information with remote office locations with the same security and reliability as your on-network communications.

Secure VPN Off-Net

If Cbeyond doesn't serve all of your business locations you can still stay connected with Secure VPN Off-Net. By creating pre-defined, protected tunnels through the public Internet using sophisticated encryption and authentication logic, you can exchange information with remote office locations with the same security and reliability as your on-network communications

Secure VPN Remote User

Rely on Secure VPN Remote User to equip your employees with on-demand, remote access to your network. Secure VPN Remote User allows individuals to access their corporate information while out of the office, using their existing Internet connection.

Product Specifications

The Secure VPN product suite has the following technical requirements:

  • Every Cbeyond site you wish to connect to Secure VPN must
    have a unique, private IP address block.
  • Your protocols or network operating systems must use TCP/IP
    as either their default transport medium or their native protocol stack.
  • Secure VPN does not support the following protocols and systems: 
    • NetBeui
    • AppleTalk
    • Banyan Vines
    • IPX

Technical Requirements

  • Secure VPN On-Net uses Multi Protocol Label Switching
    (MPLS) to create isolated paths for data transfer.
  • All sites connected must have active Cbeyond service
  • Secure VPN Off-Net uses standard IPSEC/IKE encryption and authentication configurations to create static tunnels for data transfer
  • Off network connection points are established through unique, predefined Source / Destination network pairs, not via dynamic
    or default network routing.
  • Cbeyond does not support the following protocols and configurations:
    • Encryption Protocol = AES
    • Authentication Method = RSA signature, RSA encryption
    • Traffic Security Method = AH
    • IPSEC Mode = Transport
    • SA Establishment Method = Manual Configuration
  • At least one site connected must have active Cbeyond service
  • All sites connected must operate with a static IP address or a Dynamic IP Address with a Dynamic DNS entry
  • Secure VPN Remote User operates with any PPTP-compatible desktop client with up to 128-bit MPPE encryption to create dynamic, user-authenticated sessions. Unsupported protocols
    and configurations include:
    • Compression Protocol = MPPC
    • Authentication Protocol = MS-CHAP-V2
    • Network Layer Protocol = IPX, Appletalk, NetBeui
    • DNS/WINS Address Assignment = User Configurable Servers
  • Secure VPN Remote User has been certified for desktop
    clients using Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP
    Operating systems.
  • At least one site connected must have active Cbeyond service
