Add Wireless Synchronization to Take Your BlackBerry to the Next Level
Cbeyond offers an optional premium upgrade software package, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES). BES allows the BlackBerry to wirelessly synchronize email, calendar, address book, and task manager with Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Domino or Novell™ GroupWise™.
Features & Benefits
With BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you enhance the value and the productivity of your BlackBerry's email service. Specific benefits for BES include:
- Email that is read on the device shows as having been read on PC's email client.
- Email that is deleted from the device is deleted from corporate email.
- The same folders on a PC's email client automatically appear on the BlackBerry. Users can access email in these folders from BlackBerry.
- Manage "Out-of-Office" email auto-reply from the BlackBerry.
- Receive and accept a calendar invitation from the BlackBerry and have free/busy status automatically updated on the corporate calendar.
- Tasks and contacts wirelessly synchronize, almost in real-time, with corporate server.
Additional features include:
- Added security - with BES a company can add secure transport options to email and corporate data, including Triple DES (128 bit) encryption or AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) and the handhelds can store passwords and encryption keys securely.
- Simplified BlackBerry deployment - with BES adding a new BlackBerry is even easier to provision and activate than ever before.
- Simplified management and tracking of BlackBerry - increased control over BlackBerry handhelds deployed by the enterprise and smart monitoring tools for improved performance
- Improved ability to configure corporate data permissions and applications access for wireless (BlackBerry) users.
