When Curci Asset Management needed to relocate to temporary offices while its permanent offices were remodeled, the company asked Akins Consulting to recommend a new voice system. Curci stressed several key objectives:

- The Cbeyond BeyondVoice solution follows the SIPconnect specification to ensure consistent quality of service, low cost, and full-featured telephony for SIP-based voice-over-IP calls.
- Cbeyond developed the SIPconnect specification with Cisco and other industry leaders to connect its private, managed VoIP network to next-generation IP PBX systems.
