President’s Volunteer Service Award
Illustrating the company’s commitment to service and civic participation, Cbeyond was awarded the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2007. The award recognizes individuals, families and groups that have completed laudable volunteer efforts, measured by the number of hours served over a 12-month period. During 2006, Cbeyond contributed 4,474 hours of corporate volunteerism.

Storage Networking World recognized Cbeyond in November 2006 for its best practices approach to protecting stored data from internal and external threats. This award focused on how Cbeyond's solution addressed its security concerns, while still maintaining usability and efficient data access.
American Electronic Association (AeA) 2006 Southeast Spirit of Endeavor Award for Technology Entrepreneur
Jim Geiger garnered the AeA 2006 Southeast Spirit of Endeavor Award for Technology Entrepreneur in October 2006, which recognized individuals who demonstrate leadership in bringing technology to the market, serving as a model for others to follow, and above all, representing the "Spirit of Endeavor," a critical component in the creation and execution of ideas that the technology industry thrives upon.
Geiger was also a finalist in the Outstanding Leadership category and Cbeyond was a finalist in the Emerging Business category.

Cbeyond was ranked 22nd Fastest Growing Company in North America on Deloitte's 2006 Technology Fast 500 in October 2006. The Technology Fast 500 recognizes the 500 fastest-growing technology, media and entertainment, telecommunications and life sciences companies in the United States and Canada. Cbeyond demonstrated a remarkable ability to maintain spectacular growth and sustain performance.
Deloitte also ranked Cbeyond second on the Southeast Technology Fast 50 in October 2006. To be considered for the Fast 50 list, Cbeyond had to maintain an operating revenue of at least $50,000 in 2001 and at least $5,000,000 in 2005; be headquartered in Georgia; be a "technology company," a company that owns proprietary technology or intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of its operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology.

Cisco® recognized Cbeyond as the "IP Innovator at the CompTel Expo 2006" in October 2006. Cbeyond was chosen due to its successful delivery of converged voice and data services to more than 23,000 small business customers.

Medical Association of Atlanta's 2006 Cooper Award for Outstanding Customer Service
Cbeyond was awarded the Medical Association of Atlanta's Cooper Award in May 2006 for outstanding customer support. This award signifies the strength of Cbeyond's understanding and support for businesses in the medical industry.
